About Big Oak Forest: Pixel Platformer to Save the Great Oak

Big Oak Forest is a high-climbing pixel platformer where you play as Nutty, a brave scout of the squirrel tribe on a mission to reclaim stolen magical acorns. The Great Oak has stood at the heart of the forest for centuries, its acorns sustaining all life — until a ruthless crew of Pirate Rats stormed the canopy and plundered every last one. As the leaves shift from vibrant green to a dying red, Nutty must race across the treetops before the forest's magic fades forever.

Several scenes show the forest canopy rendered in warm pixel art, with layered branches and foliage filling the background. One scene presents a richly detailed woodland setting with glowing environmental details visible across the level.

How to Play Big Oak Forest

Each of the 24 levels hides three magical acorns. Tracking down all three summons a mystical portal that carries Nutty forward to the next challenge. The journey spans three evolving forest stages, bookended by opening and ending cutscenes, and culminates in a climactic boss battle.
