Kinetic Puzzle
About Kinetic Puzzle: Block and Grid Puzzle Brain Teaser
Kinetic Puzzle is a block and grid puzzle brain teaser built around one deceptively simple rule: every block you push keeps sliding until something stops it. That momentum mechanic turns each level into a careful sequence of decisions, where the order and direction of every move matters as much as the move itself.
The game spans 50-plus hand-crafted levels that ramp from gentle introductory slides up to multi-step dependency chains. A neo-brutalism art style gives it chunky tiles and tactile feedback throughout. Several scenes show a central white square divided by thin grey lines into a grid of smaller squares. Small rounded blocks in red, blue, yellow, and black sit positioned across those grids. A cream-colored background carries a pattern of small dark dots arranged in a regular grid.
How to Play Kinetic Puzzle: Remove Every Block Through the Portals
The goal is to remove every red, yellow, and blue block from the board by sliding them out through the orange edge portals. Gray obstacle blocks are fixed and never leave the board.
Blocks slide with momentum: once pushed, a block travels in the swiped direction until it hits a wall, an obstacle, or another block. To exit, line a block up with a portal and slide it toward that edge. Getting the sequence right — which block moves first, in which direction, and whether its dependencies are already cleared — is the core challenge across all levels.
Block Types
- Red simple: slides in any direction and exits through any portal.
- Yellow constrained: moves and exits only in its designated arrow direction.
- Blue dependent: locked in place until its prerequisite block has already left the board.
- Gray obstacle: a fixed wall that blocks momentum and never exits.
Controls
Desktop
- Mouse swipe (click and drag): click a block, drag it in a cardinal direction (up, down, left, or right), then release — the block slides until it hits something.
- Drag-to-exit: drag a block past the board edge through an aligned portal to remove it.
- Undo / Hint / Restart / Pause: buttons located in the bottom and top HUD.
Mobile / Touch
- Swipe: touch a block, swipe in a cardinal direction, then release — the same momentum rule applies.
- Drag-to-exit: hold a block and drag it past the edge through a portal to remove it.
- Tap: all HUD buttons (undo, hint, restart, pause) are tap-friendly.
